It was necessary to design very simple and easy to use Data Entry Screens. The users were volunteers and needed to enter items in an easy to use interface. Note the different colors of the boxes; when entering data they are grey, when searching they are yellow. This is how the Users wanted the screens to appear.
The use of Microsoft Word for output in some reports was necessary due to the skill level of the Users. Everyone is familiar with this Word processing package and reports were created this way for management to review.
